I enjoyed capturing this couple for their Washington DC engagement session. I love the opportunity to incorporate the spirit of the city into my clients images. The Washington Monument and Reflecting Pool are beautiful iconic backdrops of the strength of our nation. The outdoors and natural light were a great match for this all-American couple. The Egyptian style stone obelisk is a stunning masterpiece flanked to the East by the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool, which hosts as many as 24 million visitors a year. The well known DC area is a host to stunning walkways, shaded by trees on either side. What a perfect spot for our engagement session! A Stunning Spot for an Engagement SessionThere are so many great photo opportunities to show the beauty and history of the city this couple love so much. The day of the engagement session featured some unique skies. It was slightly overcast for part of the day and then the sun started peeking through. It’s amazing how the clouds always make a one of a kind backdrop for each session. The dramatic stone pillars and steps create a great space to capture images as well. All around DC you will find the magnificent Greek Revival style architecture on which so much history has been built. As a DC resident and photographer, I love what this city has to offer as inspiration on so many levels. From engagement sessions to landscape portraiture, the city breathes inspiration at every turn. It never fails to leave me in awe of this amazing nation.
As a Washington DC Engagement Photographer, I am so blessed to capture the love and emotion that binds couples together. Congratulations to this happy couple. Are you recently engaged?
